Since 1997, District 7390's partnership with the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center has had a tremendous impact on children regionally. Rotary Clubs are the HEC's ambassadors to the schools in their local communities. Rotary's goal is to enable students to benefit from the powerful lessons taught at the Center by encouraging school officials to include these programs in school curriculum, being vocal supporters of quality health education in schools, and offering financial support for tuition and transportation. Through this partnership, thousands of children have been empowered to make healthy lifestyle choices because of their experiences at the Byrnes Health Education Center.
Rotarians show up in force during August each year to make the HEC sparkle and shine in preparation for another year of promoting healthy lifestyles through education.
