On April 24th, Rotary International Governor for District 7390 and the Rotary Club of Gettysburg President delivered a carload of pet supplies to representatives of SPCA Adams County and Forever Love Cat Rescue. The supplies were collected at the annual Rotary Multi District Conference at the Wyndham Hotel in Gettysburg. Also pictured is Liberty Dog, rescued from abandonment one year ago this month by SPCA and rehomed. Rotary Club of Gettysburg meets first and third Mondays at noon in the Gettysburg Hotel for lunch. All are welcome.
Rotary Club of Carlisle – Sunrise in a partnership with Redwood Materials in Carson City, Nevada, will be collecting and recycling lithium-ion batteries and rechargeable devices. Join us on Saturday, 16 May 2026 between 10AM and 4PM at the Army Heritage Education Center Parking Lot (950 Soldiers Dr., Carlisle, PA) and bring your discarded lithium-ion batteries and rechargeable devices including smartphones, tablets, electric toothbrushes, laptops, power tool batteries, lawn equipment batteries, rechargeable vacuum batteries, wireless headphones, and any other lithium-ion battery and help close the loop.
The District Learning Committee is hard at work building opportunities for our Rotarians to grow their knowledge and skills. To that end, we are starting a series of monthly on-line learning sessions on various topics that should be helpful to your Rotarians and club leaders. Members of the York East Rotary Club including fellow member and York County Commissioner Scott Burford have been dedicated to keeping Edgewood Road clean for over three decades. Twice a year, in both spring and fall, the club volunteers to pick up trash and litter along the stretch between Prospect Road and Kingston Road. These efforts typically coincide with Penn DOT's Road Cleanup Day, reflecting the club’s long-standing commitment to community service and environmental care. This tradition, which began in 1998, has made a significant impact on the local environment. Each year, the volunteers remove a variety of debris, ranging from cans, cups, and bags to more unusual finds like tires. Occasionally, participants even come across unexpected treasures while clearing the roadside. In recognition of the club’s dedication, the York East Rotary was recently honored for its 30 years of participation in the road cleanup project. This milestone highlights the group’s enduring contribution to maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the community.
As they continue this important work, York East Rotary remains a shining example of how consistent, local actions can have a lasting positive impact on the environment and the community
Purse Bingo participants raved about the great time they had this past Sunday in Red Lion.Over 150 people attended this great event. The Bingo-ers played 17 games of Purse Bingo, purchased 50/50 tickets, raffle tickets, and door prizes.Great movie and sports memorabilia we won with a silent auction.No one went hungry as the kitchen was hopping with pulled pork, hot dogs, loaded baked potatoes, along with a superb assortment of baked goods.Numerous people complemented York North Rotarians on how well run the event was. Students from the Central York Interact Club were a huge help. York-North raised around $8,700!

All net proceeds go to support community grants for local non-profits and also the youth services programs for students at Hershey High School, The Milton Hershey School, and Middletown Area High School.

The Rotary Club of Lancaster invites fellow Rotarians to be part of one of our most impactful (and fun) annual events—Wheels & Wings Festival & 5K, taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Lancaster Airport. This year, the need is especially urgent. Due to a significant budget shortfall, the School District of Lancaster is canceling summer enrichment programs. For many students, these programs provide critical opportunities for continued learning, mentorship, and engagement.
For nearly two decades, our Club has partnered with United Way of Lancaster County to support Summer Youth Experience programs, helping local nonprofits fill that gap. Wheels & Wings is a key driver of that effort. We invite you to:
