On Saturday, October 21, the Rotary Club of Harrisburg hosted its annual Pancake Breakfast and Apple Harvest Festival.  This is the club’s largest fundraiser.  The event is typically coordinated with the Harrisburg School District’s Homecoming.

After nearly a full year of planning, enlisting sponsors and donors, more than 50 HRC Rotarians and some family members served more than 800 hungry guests.  Funds come from sponsor advertising, member ticket purchases and an auction of member donated items conducted around this event.

Yearly $15,000 of the proceeds go to a Homeless Backpack program at the District and $8,000 goes to student scholarships.  Other portions of the proceeds goes to the Harrisburg Rotary Club Foundation for other community projects.
