Is your Rotary Club trying to fit together the many puzzle pieces forming your membership recruitment and retention? Do you have trouble attracting new members or get new members in place and then discover others are “missing”? If this seems far too familiar, sounds like you need to attend the District Membership Seminar on Wednesday, September 10 at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg (1150 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill, PA 17011). Arrive for registration and supper between 5:15 and 6:00 p.m. The Seminar will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and end by 8:30 p.m.

The District Membership Chair Jim Rodgers (Harrisburg-Keystone) is putting together a program to help Clubs enhance their membership efforts.  The seminar will include:

  • Discussion and presentations on the challenges we face in membership recruitment and retention District-wide. Plus actual successes that other Clubs have had in retention and recruiting.
  • Break-Out sessions for specific assistance in developing a retention and recruitment plan, shining a bright light on what Rotary is, and becoming a beacon of light for Rotarians, prospective Rotarians, and your community.
  • A wrap-up session for assistance & understanding on how to implement a membership plan.

Meet with your fellow Rotarians as we learn, share, and create a customized action plan for your Club to use in the upcoming year to improve membership. We’ll give you some hints on how to make this happen at your Club level.

A registration form is available to the left, please complete and return it with payment to Melissa Bruck at office@rotary7390.org by August 29. The cost for the Seminar is $15 per person, pre-registration is required in order to plan for materials and food service.

We look forward to seeing you on September 10th! Thank you!
