2009-2010 “BEST CLUB” AWARDS
The purpose of the District 7390 “Best Club” Awards is to encourage Clubs to aggressively pursue excellence through friendly competition with like sized clubs.
To encourage participation there are 6 Club size categories, based upon the membership reported on the June 30, 2009 Semi-Annual Report. The club’s category will not change throughout the Rotary year even if its membership rises or declines. Any new Clubs will be assigned based upon the number of charter members. The 2009-2010 categories are:
There are also four other important changes.
1. The Report Form has again been simplified and shortened.
2. Some items from previous years have been removed and a few others added.
3. The items to be completed are aligned with the 2009-2010 District Goals.
4. More of the items are rewarded for the percentage, rather than absolute number, of members participating.
Clubs will track their own accomplishments through March 31, 2010 on the Report Form and submit it to the District Office by April 5, 2010.
We hope these changes will encourage every Club to compete for the 2009-2010 “Best Club” Awards.

ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUR AVENUES OF SERVICE
Recognizing that the strength of the Rotary ideal is founded on the service carried out by Club members worldwide, this citation program provides a means for Rotary Clubs to personally recognize a member of the Club for outstanding efforts in the four Avenues of Service (Club, Vocational, Community and International). The citation commends the service carried out by an individual Rotarian in the Club, thereby reinforcing the importance which Rotary places on the personal involvement of each Club member in Rotary service activities. The nominee must be an active Rotarian in good standing and must have consistently demonstrated support of the Object of Rotary through participation in service activities in each of the Four Avenues. Only one person, per Club may be nominated per year. Current Club presidents and immediate past and current District Governors are not eligible. The Club president must endorse the nomination form, and submit it to RI Headquarters, with a duplicate copy provided to the District Governor. Nominations may be submitted at any time.
BEST COOPERATIVE PROJECTS

Award criteria: This award is to honor Rotary Clubs who have successfully cooperated with another organization. Those projects that required active involvement will be given priority.
Submit the nomination form, and a detailed description of the project including:
-
A project summary and objectives outlining significant grassroots efforts between the Rotary Club and the other organization(s)
-
Goals of all contributing organizations.
-
Funds required/raised for the project.
- Reference to any grants received from the Rotary Foundation.
-
Positive results of the cooperation.
