NOMINATE A TEACHER FOR THE 7th ANNUAL TEACHER IMPACT AWARDS!

Rotary Club Presidents and District leaders have received copies of the nomination form in preparation for our 7th Annual Teacher Impact Awards. School Superintendents in our seven county area have also been sent information about the opportunity to honor some of our best educators. Nomination deadline is January 27, 2012.

The goal of the Teacher Impact Program is to honor those teachers who have had significant impact on their students, who go far and above the ordinary.  The teacher must be a full-time pre-K through grade 12 teacher in one of our 7 counties. Winners will be announced at the end of February, with all finalists invited to an awards banquet on May 14, 2012 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey.

The 5 winners will receive a plaque and a check for $1000 for their school. WGAL-TV will also create a vignette about each winner, to be shown at the banquet and on their TV station.  Clubs are urged to nominate several of their best local teachers, and encourage the local schools to do the same.
